Today we were determined to find a sunny spot to camp after two nights in a shady valley. There was still lots of snow patches but we also got some nice stretches to dry trail. In the afternoon on a super snowy stretch we bumped into shortcut backtracking a little upset, she had just freaked herself out on a sketchy traverse. Luckily the traverse wasn't necessary and we realised that the trail actually went further down where we could walk over rocks and snow, it was nice to catch up with shortcut and share superior of the last couple of days. We all found a spot to camp up above a lake and ate dinner out on the rocks overlooking it. We planned to all hike together for the next two days as Shortcut wanted to do the detour around the steep traverse with us and then also hitch into SLT with us.
