I was second to leave in the morning after Shortcut who had left really early at like 3:30. I was planning on getting an 1.5 hour headset on the guys who has said they were leaving at 7 but they were all up and packing up when I left so the headset didn't really happen. I was mentally preparing for today to be a slog, all that descent we did yesterday into the valley we had to go back up. It wasn't actually as bad as I was expecting and we all made it to the meeting point by 11. We had a group chat about the last section as after almost a month of being on top of each other everyone was starting to get a bit tetchy with each other, me and shortcut expressed that we are putting in 100% and just can't do the pace that Slide and Yeehaw want us to do. We agreed to stick a a group for this next section and all try to be mindful of everyone's differences. The last 3 miles back to sunrise camp were on snow and were quite tiring. We found the pit toilet this time though but there wasn't anywhere to camp nearby it but we did find a dry spot Big enough for everyone on a ledge that has a great view over the mountains.
