We had forgotten it was a federal holiday today - Juneteenth, and so the post office was closed. Luckily we found a business that would pay our result to Yosemite for us so we spent the morning sorting that before chilling in the cafe for coffee and lunch. We set off around 12:30 and caught a bus up to the ski village and another up to the ski slopes. we had to do another road walk detour due to another collapsed bridge which ment we started hiking at the ski resort which was very surreal. We had to hike just over 4 miles down a closed road that was most buried under 2-8 feet of snow. We camped just where we met park up with the pct at what looked like a pack station, e found a dry dirt patch but it definitely had a lot of old horse poop everywhere but we didn't really care. We enjoyed the sun whilst it lasted before retreating into our tents
