Despite deciding we woyld leave until 5am, I still woke up 2am and didnt then sleep very well between then and 4 when my alarm went off, it was pretty cold too. We were all excitied to arrive in town later though, the promise of a shower, bed, food and a beer all sounding too good. It was a long day of hiking and once the snow was up the snow got soft real quick and we were ince again slipping and sliding over the place but spirits were high anyway. We passed the 900 mile marker which felt like an achievement too. Mammoth Pass out over the horseshoe trail was the most underwhelming one yet and we didn't even realise it was a Pass, just seemed like a little slope in the trees. We had to road walk for a while as the road was closed due to snow but we was lots of people down by mammoth lakes so we're hopeful that we would get a hitch once we got to the end of the road closure. And sure thing we did, we checked into a Best Western hotel after 12.5 hours of walking and headed straight for the brewery for a drink and dinner
