I wanted a lie in in the morning but I was awake by 5am, I hadn't slept that well and was pretty tired. I tried to snooze for a bit and eventually got out of my tent around 6:30 and took my laundry to the washing machine, I was first in line for the machine but the generators hadn't been turned on yet so I couldn't get our load going (Yeehaw and Ghost stuck theirs in with mine). We hung out on the deck for a while, the generators went on around 7:30 so we got the washing going and then went to pack up our tents to kill time until 8am when the kitchen opened and we could get breakfast. I hung out my laundry to dry and then ordered the vegan breakfast burrito, hands down the best breakfast on trail. We then got to our chores. We had a group meeting and planned out our first 10 days into the Sierra and then picked up all our packages-it was hiker Christmas Day for us. Then it was off to TCO to buy gas, lunch food and bars. Me and Shortcut had to grab a ride to the general store to pick up our reply boxes and then had to wait for an hour and a half for a shuttle back to grumps, it was 4pm by then so we ordered pizza and got to sorting out dinners into lightweight ziplocks. Buddy and Gil kindly gave us, all our food and packages a lift over to the general store again after as we were all camping there tonight. We did some more sorting for an hour or so as I became increasingly worried about the amount I had to try to fit in my pack and the weight it would be if it all fit. Then sun started to set and we called it a day on chores, set up our tents and emptied a beer around the campfire with all the other hikers, sharing favourite trail stories around the fire. It was a late night and I didn't head to my tent until almost 10
