The heat and light of the sun woke me at 7am accompanied by some people near us talking quite loudly so we didn't get back to soap after that but rested some more. I draped my quilt over the outside of my tent to create some shade and lay back down for an hour before we moved to the shade of a nearby bush for breakfast. I started to get a migraine aura so I lay back down and closed my eyes waiting for it to clear up. I didn't end up leaving until 10am, almost last to leave other than shortcut and Annick the Dutch girl. I walked slowly in the heat, it was pretty cool walking through the wind farm and we slowly ascended up towards the mountains in front of us. I stopped at the creek 6.7 miles ahead for lunch with Ghost, Beer slide and Yeehaw. Ghost left again fairly quickly as he has been there a while, the rest of us chilled until after 2 P m waiting for the heat to go. Me and Yeehaw stopped at the next campsite 3.5 miles ahead, I didn't want to push it today and after the campsite was a steep climb and i decided I'd rather do it in the cool of the morning. Beer Slide carried on and when Shortcut caught up with us at 6:42 (i was already in bed) she decided she would do the climb now too so we would meet back up tomorrow.
