We had a spare start this morning after an exhausting day yesterday and didn't leave our campsite until 7am, then less than a mile up the road we bumped into Sasquatch and Ronan's campsite and we chatted to them for a bit. We had a bit of a road walk this morning, 7 miles. A section of the trail was closed due to an endangered species of frog and the tiny section before that closure was super sketchy due to the snow. Road walking is hard on the feet and knees not the miles come quick and we were back on the trail by 9:40. It was chilly in the morning but once the sun was on us and we got out of the wind tunnel of the road it started to warm up and we left the snow behind. A few miles into the trail we passed a scouts cabin that has two workmen replacing the sign, there gave us PB&J sandwiches and a clementine, then another 5 miles or so down the trail a guy in a car gave us a bag of oranges - lots of trail magic! I listen to my audiobook for most of the day, we were all feeling a bit worn out from the snow walking so we're happy to make it to camp just after 4. Me, Yeehaw and Andrew set up our tents and Shortcut arrived about 40 mins later. It was nice sorting out having dinner in the sun Amber all the fog yesterday, hopefully it won't be quite as cold tonight
