We packed up, cleaned the Airbnb and went to meet Jim, All In and Yeehaw for breakfast at 8:30. I called Big Agnes to chase you on my replacement pole and they said they would send it to Tehachapi. Shortcut decided she would come up the trail but would get a hitch to inspiration point so she would only have to hike 3 miles today and could rest her foot more. The rest of us hiked out of town up Acorn road and then onto Acorn trail to get back up to the trail just beyond where the fire closure ends. We put our spikes on at the beginning of acorn trail and it got very snowy very quick. It was beautiful in the fresh snow because it was covering all the trees too. The new scope was sticky and already starting to melt in places, it was a lot of elevation up to the trail and I could feel the altitude but it wasn't sketchy. We made it to the trail by midday and stopped for a lunch break and for All In and Uncle to catch up, it got cold quickly when you weren't moving so we got going again soon after. The snow was tiring to walk in and it was very slushy in places. We decided we should push past the campsite a couple more miles and get to the car park just below the ascent to Baden Powell so we could do it first thing. We tried to contact Shortcut to let her know but she didn't get the message and was already set up and the first campsite, she told us to push on as she was with Conor and they were going to summit together as they were both taking it really slow. The car park was full of soo many hikers, the bottleneck from the storm, we found a spot by the side of the road, ate dinner and got into bed as it was very chilly and we were planning a 4am start tomorrow
