The first 5 miles of the day to the river crossing felt slow, there was a fair bit of walking through sand which always feels harder. We had 3 thigh deep river crossing all within 2 miles, the current want to strong but the water was chilly. Me and Shortcut did them together and Beer Slide was up ahead waiting door us after last one. We took a 40 min break there to have second breakfast and dry off our shoes a bit and put on dry socks. Another Brit joined us for that break, he has started April 12th so was a quick hiker. We were aiming for our first 20+ mile day road so we could camp at the hot springs. We took lunch about 14 miles in and the Brit joined us for that too. It was hot and back to the desert today, I saw 2 snakes but neither where rattlers. The final stretch felt very hot but I arrived by 3:40 and Beer Slide shortly after, we set up our tents waiting for shortcut to appear. Once she has arrived we went to get in the hot springs with Brolly (Irish) and an American. The water was super hot and we had to go do our feet in the cold river in the middle to cool down. We enjoyed a cold beer that we had brought from Big Bear and our second one got punched from where we were cooking them in the river. It was a funny place and was pet busy when we arrived, lots of hippies and naked old men arrived but as it got a little later it quite out as all the day troopers and weekenders left. We had a late dinner after 6 and then Eavan strolled down to the campsite who we hadn't seen since Idyllwild. She has just down a 29 mile day so was exhausted, we briefly chatted to 2 of her hiking companions hairtie and fry pocket who tried to convince us to do  20 miles tomorrow to the pizza campsite. We soaked our feet in the hot spring for 20 mins before bed and didn't end up in our tents until after 8pm!
