it's straight onto lava fields again, within an hour of walking my feet, feel like they've been walking for hours being pummelled by the rocks. The sunrise is dramatic over the rocky landscape after I've reached the top of the climb. I call Emma and Mum as it's Emma's birthday and Mum is with her in Edinburgh. It's only 12 miles to big Lake youth camp. I call-in there have a shower and do laundry and eat some lunch before hiking. The last 6 miles to the highway here. I luckily catch a hitch to sisters in a matter of minutes in sisters I had to the outdoor gear shop to see if they can fix my tent but they don't have the replacement part. The woman in the shop was kind and gave me a free beer and a free facemask for the smoke. I pick up some vegan muffins from the shop and again catch a hitch within minutes to bend. Here I text Marcela and we meet at the Thai resturant for dinner. The food is delicious and it was nice to see Marcela and say goodbye before she heads back to California. And then catch an Uber to Rachels, The Trail Angel, who im staying with,  her husband is away due to family matters. The house is super nice and I have the spare double room to myself and a nice clean bathroom with a shower. We stay up chatting for awhile sharing stories of the Trail in life. I have a shower and exhausted I go to sleep.
