I was woken at 4 am by wind and little bits of rain and couldn't really get back to sleep after. I eventually just packed up and started walking. It rained on and off lightly throughout the morning. I called mum as I had some signal on the descent until it eventually cut out. I hung out by a water cache for an hour as there was water and power banks to charge before hiking onto the Oregon Skyline Trail alt route to Shelter Cove, which used to be the PCT. It was 7 miles shorter and would buy me some more time to get to Shelter Cove by Friday morning when I would be picked up by Ghost to go to Trail Days. I camped at whitefish horse camp where there were pit toilets and water. It would just be 10 miles from there in the morning
