I woke up and move my foot straight away to test out my shin. After the big mile day it felt okay. The discomfort was there but no worse or no better than the day before. I smiled at the idea that a big day was possible, but now the test was too big more days in a row and then three and four. Are there any point if the pain got worse I knew I’d have to read it back . Packed up with a smile for now. At least it seems to be going okay. I started the big morning climb at the other side of the valley and not long after I began. I saw a guy running down the Trail head of me at first I thought he was early morning Trail Runner, but then I realised he had all the gear on his back, it was a PCT hikee, you’re in a rush and he’s stuck when he saw me and asked if I had a needle or a safety pin turned out. He was running from his blisters looking for someone that could help him. I dug around in my bag and handed in a safety pin and told him he could keep it as he seem to have quite a few blisters, we wished happy trails and we’re on our way. I wanted to aim for between 23 and 25 miles today so I could take it a little easier than yesterday but after my morning lying I still wanted to keep the pace up as much as I could. Once again, the views are spectacular pi traversing the crest of the mountains, there was a small burn area around here, but it was not stark as the bird area around Chester and Bernie. when I stop for lunch I had a bit of phone service so I called Mum to update her on my progress. This meant I had an extended lunch break but the views from at the top of the ridge I was sat on my lovely. I then descended down to cross a river on the road before heading up the other side, I bumped into some Sobo hikers that I hadn’t seen since the desert, so it was nice to catch up a little Manchester, some stories all the Zo bows we pass seems to be impressed when they hear we went through the Sierra. Adversary intended to camp spot near dirt road up the other side, but when I arrived it was full of cows with noisy cowbells around the neck and I knew I would be disturbed all night so I pushed on for another mile and a half to get to the next junction, where I found a little spot, set my tent up under a tree, I watch the Sun go down and then turned in for the night
