Stacey picked me and Bobcat (Lauren) up from the hiker hostel just before 8am and drive us to Burney and dropped us off at the church. It was a lovely place to stay, there was a community building around the back where they hosted us hikers. It had a big fully equiped kitchen, showers, towels, loaner clothers, sofas. The hikers slept on a hige basketvall court in the middle of the room, it felt a little breakfast club. It was nice to be resting in a sociable spot though. The shin pain was bad so I tried to not move much today other than a quick trip across the road to the shop to get groceries. A british hiker named Ben overheard I had spent my birthday in ER yesterday and baked my vegan choc chip cookies - they were delicious!
