I woke to a beautiful sunrise, the horizon lit up with reds and pinks, with my tent on the outcropping rock slab there was nothing obstructing the view. It was a short 8 miles to the road where we would hitch into town, I knew DB, Hot Pants (another older brit), Trip Hazzard, Izzy and ? were also heading into town this morning so I knew I would find someone to hitch with. I passed DB, Hot Pants and iMac as I was walking so knew they were around. Not wanting to get to the road too early, I called mum for a chat as I walked until the service cut out. It was a chilled walk through the trees and DB and Hot Pants caught up to me when I stopped for water a couple of miles before the road. We hiked the last couple of miles together and managed to get a hitch after only 10-15 mins of waiting in the back of a truck. They dropped us off in town and we went for breakfast at Morning Thunder before going to do our resupply. I contacted a Trail Angel called Pounder to see if we could stay the night at his, he said yes but he wouldn't be back in town until the afternoon so we had a couple of hours to kill. With most places in Quincy closed on a Sunday we headed to the open Brewery for a drink and food, we bumped into Trip Hazard who then joined us for a drink. Pounder picked us up when he got back to town, stopped off at the store so we could buy ice cream and then took us to his where we showered and did laundry. The boys went out for dinner with Pounder but I was feeling tired and had already bought a vegan burrito from the Co-Op to eat for dinner so I stayed in, sewed up holes in my socks and went to bed.
