We ate breakfast at the airbnb, packed up and headed into town to find a hitch back out to trail, we didn't have a big day planned so didn't have to rush. The first half of the hike was mostly snow but then it cleared up to dry trail. We saw out first ever sundog - a little short cloud lit up like a rainbow, I wouldn't have known what it was called but an older couple were walking past us when I spotted it and they told us. We camped at a beautiful viewpoint up the top of a hill that has a cool tree with a split trunk Tthat you could sit in like an armchair. We ended up camping there with Grillmaster who I had met in the Sierra and we caught up on hiking stories since.
