Day 8
Miles Hiked: 0
Mile 109.5 (Warner Springs) to 124.9
- Trail Conditions: Probably the prettiest day on trail yet. The first section out of Warner Springs continues through cow pastures (had to bushwack to avoid cows on trail), but then it follows Agua Caliente creek for about five miles. There's plenty of water and trees for shade, and even tiny waterfalls. The trail climbs up to about 5000' afterwards, without water until the Lost Valley spring. It's more of a small trickle over some rocks, but I had a nice nap and talked with some hikers I'd seen before Warner Springs (Corgi Legs and his son, Paul and Moses, two solo women whose names I forgot again).
- Campsite: Solo spot on the bluff in the manzanita bushes. There isn't much wind, so it works. I can hear the two women from earlier making camp somewhere nearby, but I'm not sure where exactly.

- Tomorrow: I'll get fresh water at Mike's Place in the morning, then try to reach Tule Spring by early afternoon so that I can camp around mile 140. There's an unmarked water cache (allegedly) at Mary's oasis at 145, and Paradise Valley Cafe is at 152 so I could make it there for lunch.
