Mile 645 (McIver's Spring) to Mile 652.5 (Walker Pass Campground)

A little after 2am, I woke up to a bear sniffing around my tent. It ran away when I turned my flashlight on, but then came back about an hour later, chuffing and vocalizing on the edges of the campsite. Since it didn't leave when I yelled at it, all of us camping there decided to pack up and night hike. The commotion of packing up camp seemed to finally scare it off. On the upside, the very early start meant we got to see the sunrise over the mountains and finish hiking by 8am. Neal and Isabelle got a ride into Ridgecresf and expect to be in Kennedy Meadows around July 7-8, so I'll probably catch up to them there.
