Mile 541.6 (Tylerhorse Canyon) to Mile 564ish (Tehachapi)

Another day on the Pacific Wind Farm National Scenic Trail. The turbines are much taller than they look from a distance. After the climb out of the canyon, I stopped at a hiker oasis that's been maintained for nineteen years. The trail angels bring barrels of water piped from their spring and set up a little desert cafe with chairs and shade umbrellas, a hiker box, library, and food pantry, plus a trash can. It was a nice spot to have lunch before going back into the wind turbines.
