Day 32

Miles Hiked: 0
Mile 454.7 to Mile 475.8

  • Trail: The first few miles were a roadwalk out of Agua Dulce, then over bluffs covered in grass and deerbrush. There was a helicopter lifting workers onto the big powerline towers, which was interesting.
  • Campsite: A very windy divot in the hillside, partially shielded by some bushes, near a seasonal stream that's still flowing.
  • People: I met one day hiker, but otherwise the trail has been empty since I left Agua Dulce.
  • Tomorrow: My small water botttle has gone moldy somehow, so I'll hike a short road into the Green Valley gas station to get a new one. Then, it's a long water carry to Sawmill Camp. There are cisterns in between, but FarOut comments report dead animals in them or that they're surrounded by poodle dog bush. The campground has water somewhere nearby, though.
