Day 6 - creek campsite to before Scissors X

first day that felt and looked like Desert. up bright and early, caught up with Wouter and Anouk, wished Wouter happy birthday. Time to get going. the more miles we get in, the less we do tomorrow, so let's see how that goes.
water is getting scarce, although we still carry 1.5L max atm, so not too bad.
Anouk had a bad day, blisters, but she's muscling through it. we feel like we're pretty alone out here, Bam Hero Heather and Cheetah are probably way ahead.
we fill up water at a tank at 68, last until scissors, so dry camp tonight, we each take 3.5L.
I push the last few miles and we make camp at 71. lo and behold, Cheetah catches up to us, they were behind us all along. many stayed at the spigot, but we have a fun group at camp. Bam played music, Cheetah and I cried, since Bam sang Lava, and we both miss our partners.
planned on cowboy camping but some clouds made us put up our tents, alas.
