after having a complete breakdown yesterday Wouter and Anouk stayed with me at 112. in the morning they packed up and we said our good-byes, for now. they're continuing to Idyllwild via the trail, and I'm backtracking 1 mile to the road and getting a hitch. the lady that runs 2foot adventures in Julian was picking up two hikers in Montezuma and taking them to PVC and I was in the right place right time, got a ride with them. 

Beacon and Denglish are also suffering foot problems and taking a bunch of zeroes in Idyllwild, I can stay with them at their Airbnb, but checkin is at 15, we're at PVC at 7:30. 

we hitch into Idyllwild, this lovely lady who listens to metal and drives like a maniac drops us off. we got donuts and coffee at a nice place, and then some more coffee at another, a hiker hangout. ran into Wouter (other one) and Anneke. Wouter will be giving me the tea on 150-190 in a few days when they're done with that. 

met the mayor and his squad, amazing, so fluffy. checked in, walked to accommodation, amazing cabin, jacuzzi and everything. Beacon and Denglish are a hoot, having fun with the Foot Squad. 

now it's time for rest. let's see how things are tomorrow
