Day zero

Arrived at Cleef by bus with 8 others. hiked to terminus with Shelby and Tim from Canada and set up tents at Cleef. met Bad Santa, got beers and soda. 

Talk in the evening from Sky, Papa Bear and Skywalker, free pizza too. met Wade, who I almost shuttled with. hung out with Anouk and Wouter. went to bed 20308ish

ps, nearly got the trail name Gritty, named after the Philly icehockey mascot. may accept it later, but not yet. 

Day 1

Woke up 6o, had to pee, stayed in bed instead. got up a bit later. packed in a bunch, got breakfast, muffins and banana and coffee/coco. packed up, weighed pack (30lbs). thanked Sky and took off with Tim and Shelby. pushed some miles, had a break, Wade caught up. they went ahead at mile 5 ish, I slowed down. dried out tent, frogleaped with some folks, caught back up with everyone at 12, decided to push to Hauser. no good campsites anyway. decent into Hauser was killing, knees feel fine now tho. chatted with Shelby and Tim a bunch, as well as people arriving. tomorrow either Morena or Boulder Oaks. gotta be careful not to fuck up feet/knees/ankles.
